For years I have been a skeptic of the extensive use of synthetics in everyday products. Stories are regularly released announcing some or other synthetic chemical has a concerning effect on our health or the environment. Sadly, the overwhelming majority of perfumes are manufactured with synthetics.

Knowing this I used to avoid perfumes altogether. Scented products became distasteful. With this suspicion, though well grounded, I could not appreciate perfume made naturally. Being reminded that God intended aroma’s to be beautiful I became motivated to rediscover perfume from a natural perspective.

And so my journey began by tincturing dried flowers and vanilla beans in my bedroom. Since then I have learned so much about the world of natural aromatics and I am excited to share with you what I have learned, and the natural perfumes I have made.
